Steep South is my brainchild and passion project. I grew the Instagram to over 2,500 followers in the first year without paying a single penny. After this time, I started a website where Southern climbing stories can be shared in a collective space. Most recently, I directed and produced Steep South's first short film Filling the Void. The 2019 fall film tour showed the film in four Southeast states and raised over $10k for the Southeastern Climbers Coalition. 

 

My goal is to bring the climbing community together through regional storytelling that would otherwise be overlooked in the saturated market of climbing media. In the process, I want to show how the power of media can help our local climbing coalitions by raising more funds and awareness to areas in need of protection and conservation.
